NOTORIOUS BANDIT LEADER KACHALLA MU’AZU REPORTEDLY KILLED WITH SIX FIGHTERS IN ZAMFARA RIVAL AMBUSH
Suspected bandit commander Kachalla Mu’azu and six members of his group have reportedly been killed in a rival-group ambush near Mada in Gusau Local Government Area of Zamfara State. Security sources say the men were returning from Yankara Market when armed rivals who had laid in wait attacked them. Mu’azu was allegedly linked to criminal activity across parts of Zamfara and neighboring Katsina. His reported death could disrupt one faction, but the absence of an identified rival group and the fragmented nature of northwest bandit networks mean it is too early to conclude that security conditions will improve.
