GHANA HEALTH SERVICE LAUNCHES NATIONWIDE SCHOOL HPV VACCINATION DRIVE AS TWO INTENSIFIED ROUNDS TARGET GIRLS AGED 9 TO 14
The Ghana Health Service, in collaboration with the Ghana Education Service and its partners, has launched two intensified nationwide rounds of HPV vaccination in schools to improve routine immunisation coverage. Health workers will visit schools from October 19 to October 23 and again from November 30 to December 4, targeting eligible girls aged nine to 14 who have not yet received the vaccine. The exercise is intended to reach children missed during previous vaccination activities and strengthen Ghana’s long-term cervical cancer prevention programme.
