SURVIVORS DESCRIBE DESPERATE STRUGGLE FOR AIR BEFORE 37 DETAINEES DIED IN MINNA
Survivors of the Minna custody disaster say detainees were packed into a poorly ventilated cell and desperately struggled for air before 37 suspected illegal miners died. Many of the victims were teenagers. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has ordered a full investigation as questions grow over whether overcrowding and inadequate ventilation contributed to the deaths.
