Lagos Court Sentences Couple Over ₦67.6m Estate Fraud, Orders Full Refund

A Lagos State Special Offences Court has convicted Harry Uyanwanne and his wife, Oluwakemi Odia, also known as Kristein Uyanwanne, over a property fraud involving the estate of the late Dr. Moshood Babatunde Odemuyiwa. Justice Mojisola Dada sentenced the couple on charges of conspiracy, stealing and obtaining money by false pretence, and ordered them to refund ₦67,659,592 to petitioner Olusola Odemuyiwa. They were discharged on a separate forgery charge. Uyanwanne's sentence was suspended until his apprehension. The couple had also been convicted in a separate ₦52 million property-fraud case in 2024.
