MAHAMA VISITS FORMER PRESIDENT KUFUOR AT PEDUASE AS TWO STATESMEN DISCUSS GHANA AND INTERNATIONAL AFFAIRS
President John Dramani Mahama paid a courtesy call on former President John Agyekum Kufuor at his Peduase residence on Monday, October 19, to check on his well-being and exchange views on national and international affairs. The specific issues discussed were not publicly disclosed, but the engagement brought together two experienced statesmen from Ghana’s main rival political traditions and highlighted the continuing role of dialogue between current and former leaders. Kufuor governed Ghana from 2001 to 2009, while Mahama returned to the presidency in January 2025 after winning the 2024 election.
