PARTIES CHALLENGE INEC FINAL 2027 LISTS AS MISSING CANDIDATES SPARK NEW ELECTION DISPUTES
Political parties and candidates are challenging omissions from INEC's final 2027 governorship and assembly candidate lists, with the PDP, NDC, SDP, ADC and other parties seeking corrections or preparing legal action. High profile affected candidates include Isa Pantami in Gombe, Ladi Adebutu in Ogun and Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo in Kano. Some disputes involve party membership rules and court cases, while other parties say their omissions resulted from administrative errors. INEC has not yet issued a comprehensive public explanation covering every case.
